This buildup is a calcium deposit otherwise known as scale. A majority of Southern California cities experience hard water, which results from high levels of naturally occurring minerals, primarily calcium. As the water level in your swimming pool fluctuates due to evaporation it causes these minerals and calcium deposits to settle along the side of your swimming pool tile, pebble, and stone. If not treated over time calcium starts to adversely impact the beauty of your swimming pool and eventually create problems with your swimming pool equipment
BEFORE / AFTER
Paradise Pool & Spa Services uses different processes depending on the surfaces you want cleaned.
METHOD 1. Glass bead blasting is a technique similar to sand blasting, except instead of sand we use a glass bead media which is perfectly round and about the size of a needle tip. Using state of the art equipment at the APPROPRIATE air flow, we blast your ceramic tile and grout to clean the calcium, oil and grit. We significantly emphasize on appropriate air flow when media blasting. When bead blasting is not performed by a professional with the knowledge and equipment we at elite pool tile use, they can damage, crack and ultimately destroy your tile or pebble.
METHOD 2. Soda Blasting is similar to glass bead blasting, but uses sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) a much softer and safer way to clean delicate surfaces like glass tile, fountains, stone, and copper water fixtures. (wet & dry soda blasting)
